Our New Board Chairman

May 2022

Greetings Ministry Friends and Supporters,

In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I am Dewayne Swift, the new chairman of the board of Christ International Ministries.

I also have the privilege to serve as pastor of New Covenant Outreach Ministries in the beautiful city of Memphis. I wanted to give a brief word of introduction, as well as encouraging words for such a time as this.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. -Matthew 28:19-20

The Lord rested from His work. Jesus finished His work, and now we have been commanded to go to work to “make disciples.”

Teaching is expressed in Matthew 28:20 as one of the components of discipleship. As we serve our Lord, we should also serve our fellow man. Go ye therefore: they were to go forth and carry the gospel throughout the world. Today, we understand that everyone can’t go all over the world, but for the ones that can, we should help bear their burdens. The duty of all Christians is to be—in some sense—missionaries, to use their utmost efforts to spread abroad the knowledge of Christ, and to make men obedient to His law. The purpose of CIM has always been to spread the gospel and to make disciples on the continent of Africa in the countries of Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya.

Your continued prayers and support are our request as we navigate in our new normal. Forward is the direction that we are headed. Be blessed in Christ.

Dr. Dewayne Swift
